On October 12, 2024, the III edition of "Carte in dimora. Archives and Libraries: stories between past and future" will take place, an initiative by Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane to promote the discovery of the numerous private Libraries and Archives located in our national territory. For the occasion, in a completely exceptional way, Aboca Museum will open to the public its precious Bibliotheca Antiqua, a unique archive located inside the historic residence of Palazzo Bourbon del Monte, where Aboca preserves over 3000 volumes of pharmacology, medicine, and botany. The ancient printed herbaria, florilegia, pharmacopoeias, and numerous booklets of medical recipes will take you on a fascinating journey through the history of medicinal herbs, unpublished witnesses of the centuries-old bond that unites man and nature.

Access to the Bibliotheca will be possible in closed groups during the available daily shifts.
