The start of Roma Fotografia 2021 FREEDOM, an event in collaboration with the Lazio Region, Palazzo Merulana, Coopculture, Istituto Luce - Cinecittà, Stadium of Domitian, the Latin Walls Committee, Bresciani Visual Art and the patronage of Roma Capitale.
The initiative, with the artistic direction of Maria Cristina Valeri, Alex Mezzenga and Gilberto Maltinti, is dedicated to the theme of freedom.

The artistic directors together with all the protagonists present the calendar of appointments.
Also on May 21, Palazzo Merulana is scheduled to open to the public the screening of the video installations created thanks to the international call Life in the time of Coronavirus.
Throughout the day, during the opening hours of the museum, the images of three audiovisual projects will alternate:
"Shutdown", produced and created by the Istituto Luce - Cinecittà: audio video by the director Serenella Scuri that narrates the female gaze and reality during the pandemic through a selection of material from the Historical archive of the Istituto Luce - Cinecittà and a selection of images of the Call Life in the Time of Coronavirus from around the world.
“After 11/03”, audio video made by the under35 director Roberto Palattella for the Diplomacy Day in Rome in collaboration with the Crisis Unit of the Farnesina, which narrates the days in which a pandemic is officially declared in the world.
“Roma Fotografia”, video installation created through the selection of the Scientific Committee of the Call “Life in the Time of Coronavirus” among the over 10,000 images received from all over the world.
