The National Academy of San Luca presents the exhibition A history in art from 18 January to 22 April 2022. The Marchini between commitment and passion , curated by Fabio Benzi, Arnaldo Colasanti, Flavia Matitti and Italo Tomassoni, with the coordination of Gianni Dessì and the staging by Francesco Cellini and Gianni Dessì.

More than one hundred and thirty works by the greatest exponents of modern and contemporary art - from Pablo Picasso, Giorgio De Chirico, Giacomo Balla, to Georges Braque, Alberto Savinio, René Magritte, from Giorgio Morandi, Renato Guttuso, Jannis Kounellis, Enrico Castellani to Gino De Dominicis, Fabio Mauri, Shirin Neshat, just to name a few - selected from those that accompanied the historical and human story of Alvaro Marchini and his family .

On the occasion of the exhibition, a catalog published by the National Academy of San Luca is published, with introductory texts by Claudio Strinati, Secretary General of the Academy, Umberto Nazzareno Tonti, President of the Cassa di Risparmio di Foligno Foundation, and Gianni Dessì, as coordinator; essays by the curators Fabio Benzi, Arnaldo Colasanti, Flavia Matitti and Italo Tomassoni, a conversation with Lucio Villari and texts by Carla and Simona Marchini.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Cassa di Risparmio di Foligno Foundation and the CIAC, International Contemporary Art Center of Foligno, where a selection of the works presented here will be hosted from 20 May to 21 August 2022, curated by Italo Tomassoni.

Tuesday and Thursday - accompanied visits at 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00

Wednesday and Friday - accompanied visits at 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm

Saturday - accompanied visits at 11.00, 13.00, 15.00, 17.00
