“A game of patience that consists of recomposing into a mosaic the fragments of various shapes into which an image has been divided”. This is the common definition of a puzzle . And it is precisely a serious game of art that the artists and curators Bruno Aller and Marisa Facchinetti propose from tomorrow 14 October until Sunday 19 November at Palazzo Merulana (via Merulana 121) with the collective exhibition " Tutti puzzle per l'arte 2003 - 2023 ” with the significant subtitle “Signs for artistic dissonances” . A game of "patience" here understood as the ability to "be differential", that is, to put together different speeds, different visions and languages, those dissonances that all together become art. The unity for the whole. “All puzzles for art” is an exhibition project that began in 2003 with 27 artists, which over time became 102, as if to symbolize the infinite compositional and dialectical possibilities of art. The collective, in fact, is made up of 102 works/tiles communicating with each other following the example of the surrealist cadavre exquis , in a sequence unknown to the participating artists themselves. A narrative surprise, therefore, for the parties involved who finally witness the installation of the overall work through the union of all the tiles created.

As Luca Ceresoli and Serenella Di Marco, authors of the critical text that accompanies the exhibition, underline, the curatorial idea of Bruno Aller and Marisa Facchinetti in this new project also contains the key to the mission carried out since its birth by Palazzo Merulana , together with the Foundation Elena and Claudio Cerasi, who has his headquarters here, and to CoopCulture, which has managed and enhanced the museum since its opening in 2018: broadening the horizon, involving as many resources as possible, giving space and voice to as many expressions at the same time, enhancing contemporary thought and creativity.
