From March 7 to July 6, 2025, in conjunction with the celebrations of the Jubilee 2025, the National Galleries of Ancient Art, in collaboration with the Borghese Gallery, with the support of the General Directorate of Museums, Ministry of Culture, and with the support of the Main Partner Intesa Sanpaolo, present at Palazzo Barberini Caravaggio 2025, curated by Francesca Cappelletti, Maria Cristina Terzaghi, and Thomas Clement Salomon: a project among the most important and ambitious dedicated to Michelangelo Merisi, known as Caravaggio (1571-1610), with an exceptional number of autographed paintings and a journey through works that are rarely visible and new discoveries in one of the symbolic places of connection between the artist and his patrons. Examining the context that has made the artist a central figure in world art, Palazzo Barberini will host the works in a setting that enhances the power and modernity of Caravaggio's painting, among the greatest masters of painting of all time.
