After Journey into Pop Art: a new way to love things - featuring works by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Rauschenberg, Marco Lodola, Mark Kostabi, and many others - the Vaccheria in Rome continues to investigate the contemporary scene by transforming its spaces into a laboratory of light and colors with the exhibition "AmoR-Pop. NeonPopArt Icons", a solo show by Carla Campea: from January 24th to February 24th, 2025, a dialogue between the restored spaces of the former farmhouse and Italian neon pop art.As a representative of the new contemporary neon scene, Carla Campea presents a body of work that explores the intersections between traditional materials and luminous installations, through a structured path between creations and visual narratives that draw from the collective imagination transforming it into multisensory experiences, literally bringing the everyday life under a "new light".The choice of Vaccheria as an exhibition venue is not random: the emblematic former farmhouse in the Roman countryside and now Roman House of Pop Art, the space in the heart of EUR becomes an ideal container for Campea's works, which reinterpret symbols and consumer objects in a luminous and pop key, in an exhibition path that embraces the poetics of light as a narrative tool.With "AmoR-Pop. NeonPopArt Icons", created with the iconic medium of neon, Carla Campea reflects on the themes of consumption, memory, and perception, leading the visitor to question the role of art in everyday life through an exhibition that interacts with space, transforming Vaccheria into a theater of visual emotions, with a style that draws from the "attic" of collective memory, recovering and processing, with a method that is also artisanal and scientific, iconic characters.
