The Musée de la Reddition is a museum in Rems dedicated to the site of the capitulation of Nazi Germany in Europe, signed in Reims on May 7, 1945. The museum was founded in 1984, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its signature. It is located in the exact spot where the signing took place. The museum itinerary is divided into different areas. One room is dedicated to the projection of period images, which show the historical context and the participants in the agreement. Another room shows the costumes of the time, giving indications on the units present in Reims. In another room you can see medals and newspapers from May 8, 1945. Finally, the "war room" is presented in its current state, with the documents of the operations of May 7 and the photographs of this historic day.
