Roya Heydari's photographs will be on display at the Palazzo dei Musei from 8 October to 11 December, as part of the exhibition Seeking Freedom. Stories of denied rights: the practices of women's resistance from Afghanistan to Europe. The review includes a calendar of dedicated initiatives, including photographic exhibitions, a collective art exhibition, screenings, thematic meetings, testimonials and can be consulted here.

Roya Heydari is an Afghan photographer and filmmaker with a decade of professional experience, she has worked with various national and international organizations and carried out assignments as a freelance photojournalist. It tells the stories of the local realities of Afghanistan and focuses mainly on women and children, portraying the challenges that the population has faced due to the war, without renouncing the beauty and strength of its land. Through his photographic works he raises funds for needy people in the most remote areas of Afghanistan. After the fall of Kabul, in August 2021, she had to flee and currently lives in Paris where she carries on her art and her commitment.

The exhibition "Roya Heydari" at the Palazzo dei Musei is connected to the collective exhibition "Artists and Artists for the resistance to denied rights" at Binario49, in via Turri 49.
