The Reading Museum is a museum in the town of the same name in Berkshire, England. The museum, which focuses on telling the history and traditions of the area, is housed within the Reading Town Hall and hosts several galleries.
The industries of the city are described here and the artifacts discovered during the excavations of Calleva Atrebatum (i.e. the Roman city of Silchester) are exhibited, there are also finds relating to Reading Abbey and an art collection.
The museum was opened in 1883, three art galleries were added further in 1897.
