From May 24 to September 9, 2024, the Palazzo Pretorio Museum hosts the exhibition Tamagnini. Mirabile avventura d’arte, curated by Giulia Ballerini: a tribute to an artist who returns as a protagonist in the city's exhibition scene where he has always lived and worked.

On display, a core of thirty-two works covering the entire span of Primo Tamagnini's long career, divided into two rooms on the ground floor: the first room exhibits works from the last twenty years (including some recently created this year), while the second room showcases a retrospective of all the phases the artist has gone through, from his beginnings up to around 2010.

A long exhibition journey that starts from the lyricism of the origins of his oil paintings on canvas from the Seventies, passing through the splendid polyptychs of his more mature phase between the Eighties and Nineties; there are also some metal installations that testify to Tamagnini's continuous stylistic growth.

Finally, the exhibition includes a large core of works from his current period, unpublished and never exhibited before. Born in 1936, Primo Tamagnini continues to advance his artistic production with freshness and in continuous evolution even today; however, despite its diversity, in his work there is coherence and stylistic continuity: the absolute and constant protagonist of Tamagnini's work is always the sign, together with space and color.

The exhibition is open to the public every day of the week, from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm (except on Tuesdays, the museum's closing day), with regular admission ticket.
