The Pecci Center in Prato presents from Saturday, May 31 to Monday, September 8, 2025, "IMMEASURABLE", an exhibition of large-scale works from the Pecci Center collection, whose exhibition project is curated in collaboration with Ibrahim Kombarji.

"Eccentric", the recent permanent installation of the Pecci Center collection designed by Formafantasma, has revealed and confirmed the decisive value of the collection's works for the life and physiognomy of the Center. The collection creates community, roots the museum in the territory, and allows those who live in the city and the region to gather around a common heritage. With their shapes and colors, their scale and references, the works create a shared system of suggestions, a collective imaginary present in the memory of the territory around which the community can gather to reflect, look, listen, meditate, dance.

The installation choices, based on criteria of elasticity and accessibility, have obviously not allowed the entire collection accumulated by the Pecci Center since 1988 to be exhibited. The need to guarantee space for the many activities of the Center and the temporary programming has prevented, above all, the presentation of some works of large and very large format, precisely those that, due to their suggestive and overwhelming power, as in the highest tradition of Western art, have taken root more strongly in the collective imagination of the community.

"Immeasurable", the exhibition opening at the Pecci Center on May 30, 2025, intends to restore to these works the space and relevance they deserve, at least temporarily. By combining historical works, often designed specifically for the generous spaces of the Center, with more recently acquired productions, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to engage with out-of-scale creations, powerful suggestions around which to build a new alliance between the museum spaces, the works it preserves, and the communities that visit it.
