From 7 December to 30 March 2025
Accepted the Artsupp Card
At the Palazzo Pretorio Museum from December 6, 2024, to March 30, 2025, the exhibition Fiorello Tosoni. A life for art, curated by Giulia Ballerini, is on display: a tribute to an artist, born in 1939, who returns as a protagonist in the city's exhibition scene where he was born.
Hosted on the ground floor of the museum, through over sixty works - including drawings, sanguines, mixed techniques, and oil paintings, refined landscapes, delicate female figures, and sublime veils - the exhibition retraces the long career of Fiorello Tosoni, who after an adventurous life around the world has finally returned to Prato, which he has chosen as his permanent residence and where he now has his studio. A master who works in an ancient way, like a Renaissance painter, but also an artist immersed in the modernity of his time, actively using social media channels, expressing interest in the potential of artificial intelligence, and still pursuing his research with undaunted perseverance.
Preceded by the exhibition dedicated to Primo Tamagnini, hosted at the Palazzo Pretorio Museum from May 4 to July 28 of this year, the one dedicated to Fiorello Tosoni is the second of a trilogy dedicated to venerable masters who were born in Prato or who pursued their artistic career here. The next one is scheduled for 2025.
Exhibition accessible with museum admission ticket as per the price list, during regular opening hours (every day from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm, closed on Tuesdays).
