Sunday 11 September 2022 at 18:00 at the Piazzale Michelucci dell'Aurum in Pescara, there will be the presentation of the book "Antonio Mancini in the collection of the Museum of the nineteenth century" by Manuel Carrera. Speakers Francesco Leone (University of "G. d'Annunzio", Chieti - Pescara), Stefano Papetti (Civic Museums, Ascoli Piceno), Carlo Sisi (Academy of Fine Arts, Florence) and Isabella Valente (University of "Federico II ", Naples).

The work offers a historical-critical profile of Antonio Mancini's artistic career with particular reference to the nucleus of seventeen paintings by the artist kept in the permanent collection of the Nineteenth Century Museum of the Di Persio - Pallotta Foundation in Pescara. The selection covers a wide period of time: from the beginnings - with Testa di donna (The First Model) of 1866 - up to the very first years of the twentieth century. The paintings Prevetariello in prayer (1873 ca.) and Verità (1873-78) deserve particular mention.
