From 17 November to 27 January 2019
Curated by Marcello Smarrelli
The exhibition focuses on Thomas Braida's last years of research. The Friulian artist, born in 1982, who started painting and frequenting Venetian circles at a very young age, already has a substantial body of works to his credit, ranging from various subjects and pictorial approaches.
Central to Braida's eclectic art is the interest in figurative painting of the past reinterpreted through a mixture of myth, history, genres and styles, from which life paintings are born where news, literature, politics, nightmares, fairy tales are combined. personal obsessions and collective imagination. Creations that reveal a deep historical-artistic knowledge and at the same time a mocking and mystifying charge.
