The exhibition program of the Pescheria Visual Arts Center in Pesaro continues with a tribute to Renato Bertini (Pesaro 1939), a well-known artist from Pesaro to whom the Pescheria Foundation, in collaboration with the Municipality of Pesaro, dedicates a personal exhibition, which opens on March 26 and will be open until May 15, 2022.

Set up in the Loggiato della Pescheria and in the church of the Suffragio, the exhibition presents a series of works by the master, gathered under the title "Vague", to play on the double meaning of 'wave' and 'vague', suggesting that sense of instability and uncertainty that represents the stylistic code of all his artistic research.

Not far from his studio, Renato Bertini brings to Pescheria the pictorial works centered on the theme of the body and the landscape, both elements of nature, understood as explosive energy that, like a wave, is created and undone and never remains, almost a metaphor of life, creating a dialogue between the most recent paintings and those of the past, in particular from the 50s and 60s.

Among his most famous works, the portraits certainly stand out, one above all that of Gioachino exhibited at the Rossini National Museum, but for this occasion Bertini wanted to show his deepest passion to the public. Not a reasoned anthology, but his aesthetic experience, his artistic tension born, from a young age, from the observation of his land and the sea; loves to search for the minimal element from which everything springs; a phenomenology that unites micro and macrocosm, external and internal energy, revealing the cyclical nature of events and the regularity of nature in its precarious balance. The artist records and translates this rituality into his works. It is not an abstraction that eludes reality, but an intimate relationship with 'events'.
