The show

Author cinema, book presentations and a photographic exhibition to understand the current dramatic events through the culture of a country with a thousand-year history. It's Ukraine. The borderland , the festival of Ukrainian culture conceived by Kateryna Filyuk and Olena Moskalenko with the patronage of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Italian Republic, Municipality of Palermo Department of Cultures of the Municipality of Palermo and University of Palermo , which from Friday 11 March and until 10 April will take place in Palermo, with events open to the public and free of charge, distributed among Palazzo Steri, the Zisa Cultural Yards, the Sant'Elia Foundation, ZACentrale and the International Center of Photography and Rouge et noir cinema.


The festival opens on Friday 11 March with the opening of the exhibition (until 31 March) "The war 2014-2020" at the Sant'Elia Foundation by photographer Oleksandr Glyadelov , correspondent in eastern Ukraine in the crucial years of the battles between the separatists and the Ukrainian army.


On Saturday 12 March the cycle of documentaries and “feature films” of the Ukrainian registers begins, which for four weeks will bring viewers to know contemporary Ukrainian artistic techniques and will allow them to discover an authentic and surprising European cultural product.
