From 1 January to 31 December 2025
The valorous deeds of the Paladins of France animate the theater hall of the Museum daily: on Mondays at 11.00; from Tuesday to Saturday at 17.00. Proclaimed in 2001 by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity, the Opera dei Pupi is the traditional Sicilian puppet theater dating back to 1800. In the legend of Charlemagne, Orlando and Rinaldo, different themes intertwine around the war between the Christians and the Saracens, thus causing a strong identification from the audience. Following a two-hundred-year-old tradition, the shows will reenact some of the main episodes of the History of the Paladins of France by Giusto Lodico, represented in the theaters of Palermo starting from 1800.
