The Orlando Furioso narrated by Alberto Nicolino

The Orlando Furioso narrated by Alberto Nicolino

From 15 February to 18 October 2025

Antonio Pasqualino Puppet Museum

Piazza Antonio Pasqualino, 5, Palermo

Closed now: open at 10:00

From Saturday, February 15th at 4:30 pm at the Puppet Museum, 18 stories will be staged, divided by theme, where the women, the knights, the weapons, the loves, the courtesies, and the daring deeds of Ariosto's work are narrated. Short episodes of thirty minutes to get to know or rediscover characters and events: from the most famous to the lesser-known ones. Alberto Nicolino will delve into the labyrinthine poem with fear, but also with the pleasure of getting lost with the audience, trying to follow the threads of the web that Ariosto has woven throughout his life. Read today, while we are overwhelmed by global crises and it seems illusory to control our lives, Ariosto's work is more understandable than it was a few years ago, closer to our times. His irony, always so entertaining, also reveals itself as bitter and profound.
