In addition to the pictorial works of considerable historical and artistic interest preserved in the Museum, the largest nucleus is composed of the works of Giovanni Battista Sanna Delogu. In the Pinacoteca there are works by Giuseppe Biasi, Antonio Ballero, Felice Melis Marini, Mario Delitala, Pietro Antonio Manca, Melkiorre Melis, Carmelo Floris, Stanis Dessy, Giovanni Marras, Foiso Fois, Carlo Contini , by Dino Fantini, by Antonio Atza, by Ermanno Leinardi, by Antonio Corriga, by Maria Lai, partly belonging to the Sanna Delogu Collection. An intense exhibition activity and a complex as well as shrewd cultural policy characterized, two years after its opening, the "Carlo Contini" Art Gallery, hosting exhibitions and artists of great international prestige and some of the most important figures of the Sardinian art scene of the twentieth century and with significant openings to the younger generations.
