The exhibition, organized by METS Percorsi d'Arte together with the Municipality of Novara and Castello di Novara, is divided into thematic sections that guide visitors through the rooms of the Castle, presenting works from prestigious collections, both public and private.

Through about eighty masterpieces executed by some of the leading figures of our figurative culture from the early 1860s to the first decade of the 1900s, the exhibition aims to fully illustrate our newly born nation, its diverse territory, and its population over decades that witnessed profound political, economic, cultural, and social transformations; changes that would slowly lead the country towards modernity, giving it a new face and forever altering the customs of its inhabitants.

The exhibition path will be structured into thematic sections that will guide visitors through the charming rooms of the Castle, presenting them with works from prestigious collections, both public and private.
