Designed by the architect Luigi Platania in the 1920s, the glass ceiling incorporates Art Nouveau architecture .

Palazzo Zevallos Stigliano is home to exhibitions and exhibition events and inside it is possible to admire the rich collection, which includes 120 works . Among the works hosted there are the sculptures of Vincenzo Gemito , an important Neapolitan artist. The walls are painted by Gennaro Maldarelli , a pupil of Cammarano . Maldarelli creates liberty-style paintings with floral motifs, animals and dancing cherubs. In the Sala degli Stucchi, the Martyrdom of Sant'Orsola by Caravaggio , the mythological decorations by Antonio Canova and the representation of the Sleep by Bertel Thorvaldsen are exhibited.
