The Donnaregina Foundation for Contemporary Arts - Madre Museum opens to the public on Friday, May 30th (6 pm) the exhibition Digital Specters, which will showcase until July 14, 2025 the works of the winning artists of the second edition of the Paul Thorel Prize. The exhibition is a collaboration with the Paul Thorel Foundation, which conceived the prize to support Italian talents in the field of contemporary art with a focus on research and aesthetics of digital arts.

The winners, all very active on the Italian and international institutional scenes, are: Alterazioni Video (a collective of five artists born in 2004 composed of Paololuca Barbieri Marchi, Alberto Caffarelli, Matteo Erenbourg, Andrea Masu, and Giacomo Porfiri; living between New York, Berlin, Palermo, and Faro), Eva & Franco Mattes (artist duo operating since the '90s under the pseudonym 0100101110101101.org; living between Milan and New York), and Anna Franceschini (born in Pavia in 1979; living in Milan).

Their proposals were selected by a committee of art critics and contemporary art curators including Marianna Vecellio (curator, Castello di Rivoli), Edoardo Bonaspetti (co-director of Ordet, Milan and artistic director of the Henraux Foundation), Luca Lo Pinto (MACRO - Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome until December 2024), and Giovanna Manzotti (freelance curator), and a jury composed of Antonio Carloni (deputy director of Gallerie d'Italia, Turin), Sara Cosulich (director of the Pinacoteca Agnelli), and Sara Dolfi Agostini (curator at the Paul Thorel Foundation), chaired by Guido Costa (president of the Paul Thorel Foundation).
