" Andrea Bolognino. Blindness, blindness, outrage " on display at the Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte in Naples , from 13 January to 15 March. For the seventh appointment with the series of exhibitions-focus Sensitive Meetings, the Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte presents the exhibition project by Andrea Bolognino , whose drawings are placed in dialogue with one of the most famous masterpieces of the collection, the Parable of the blind ( 1568) by Pieter Brueghel the Elder .

The exhibition " Andrea Bolognino. Blindness, blindness, outrage" proposes from the title a close relationship with the enigmatic painting of the Flemish master. From this derive three themes that Bolognino has brought together under a broader reflection on the relationship between art and science: the simulation of scientific representation, with the inclusion of diagrams and graphics, the simulation of the vision disorder, through an abbreviated and obscure drawing, the hypervision, the effect of contemporary technological developments. On display are 24 drawings (including a triptych consisting of three sheets) in which the artist combines objective and subjective drawing to highlight the relationship between artistic representation and scientific knowledge.

Some of the works, made on paper in pencil, charcoal, pastel, watercolor and diluted acrylic, are arranged on inclined bases, in continuity with the exhibition logic of the Cabinet of drawings, of which one of the richest and most prestigious examples is present in Capodimonte in Italy. Finally, the large triptych that completes the exhibition is dedicated to blindness understood as a physical and symbolic fall, of which the artist captures the different phases: abandonment, perception of the fall, attempt to get up.
