From 25 October to 8 November 2020
"After a summer full of initiatives at the Civic Museums, with campuses, animated readings, workshops for children and exhibitions, in compliance with the provisions aimed at containing the epidemiological emergency from Covid-19" says the Councilor for Culture Massimiliano Longo "in two consolidated events are back in October: participation in "Ville Aperte in Brianza", an event of national importance, and the theatrical itineraries "In the footsteps of the Monaca di Monza", which have now reached their seventh edition, but this year, however, they are enriched of an important novelty. It is in fact with great pleasure that we present for the first time to the city a prestigious acquisition of the Museum which took place thanks to the generosity of the Maggi family and the indispensable contribution of the Friends of the Museums of Monza and Brianza onlus: the beautiful painting "La Monaca di Monza ”by Giuseppe Molteni”.
The imposing portrait, 118 x145 cm in size, will be presented to the public in the temporary room of the Museum, Saturday 17 October, from 4 to 6 pm (Reservations required at the following telephone number: 039.2307126) and will remain on display until Sunday 8 November.
