For the second consecutive year, the temporary exhibition hall of the Civic Museums hosts an exhibition focusing on the great tradition of Japanese artistic craftsmanship.
Created in collaboration with EcoNetwork and the Kyoto Foundation for the Promotion of Crafts , curated by Gabriele Radice and Studio Terao, the exhibition presents thirty unique pieces of the Japanese artistic tradition interpreted and updated with skill by the young students of the TASK school in Kyoto. (Traditional Arts Super College of Kyoto) , accompanied by great master craftsmen.
The exhibition is told through a path that offers refined pieces made with the most typical Japanese craftsmanship: there are works in ceramic, wood, metal, bamboo, lacquer, paper; functional typologies that are reinterpreted by young students in order to create a "new tradition".
