From 2 July to 6 January 2023
On display will be visible over thirty paintings, drawings and graphic works, made in about ten years of activity by Anna Morocco , born in Montepulciano in 1899 . The review is due to the glance of Prof. Roberto Longi, director of the Poliziano museum. In fact, having come across one of the author's paintings in the family residence, he was so impressed by it that he proposed to the heirs to set up an exhibition .
The idea has become a project, developed in collaboration with the Municipality and with the Meldolesi family , to which the descendants of the artist belong, which is now seeing the light.
"Anna Morocco was a girl from Montepulciano who painted in a very valuable way , a century ago", explain the heirs. “Subsequently she married and led her family life in various Italian cities, remaining however tied to her headquarters in Montepulciano . First at Villa Bianca, where she was born, then at the so-called Casina di San Biagio, acquired as a country structure and then transformed into a historic villa of great prestige".Via Ricci, 10, Montepulciano, Italy
