Palazzo Santa Margherita also inaugurates the exhibition of the twelfth edition of the Davide Vignali Award promoted by FMAV together with the Vignali family and the Venturi Art Institute of Modena, with the patronage of the Emilia-Romagna Region. The award was created in the name of Davide Vignali , a former Venturi student who died prematurely in 2011, and promotes the creativity of young talents in the area. For the 2022/2023 edition it awarded: Milo Spaggiari (Liceo Artistico Chierici, Reggio Emilia), 1st prize for Comizi d'amor proprio ; Jacopo Verri (IIS Blaise Pascal Reggio Emilia) 2nd prize for L'araba phoenix ; Camilla Bondioli (IIS Venturi, Modena) 3rd prize for Memories of the past ; Roxana Gabriela Martau (IIS Venturi, Modena) Venturi Prize for If you turn off the light, you notice me ; finally, two special mentions to Federica Benevelli (Liceo Artistico Chierici, Reggio Emilia) for Mi dissocio and Diamante Soncini (IIS Blaise Pascal Reggio Emilia) for Our future .

The works of the young winners will be included in the exhibition at Palazzo Santa Margherita (from 15 September 2023 until 5 November 2023) and in the publication that will accompany it together with some of the best works selected by the jury among the applications received for this edition. The exhibition is structured as a condensed version of various stories, fragments, explorations and questions that tell of the desire and difficulty of affirming one's identity among the new generations.

During the opening of the exhibition, a guided tour will also be held every Saturday, led by students from the classes of the Venturi high school in Modena, as part of the project "Becoming a mediator of an exhibition".
