The perspective of the ephemeral. Antonio Joli and the scene for the corner ”is the title of the exhibition that“ The Gallery. Collection and Historical Archive ”of BPER Banca presents from 18 September to 8 November 2020 at the exhibition spaces in via Scudari 9 in Modena.

The exhibition is inaugurated on the occasion of the festivalfilosofia 2020 and interprets the theme selected for the twentieth edition of the festival - Machines - starting from a "scene for corner" by Antonio Joli (Modena, 1700 - Naples, 1777), part of the BPER Bank. The work is evidence of the desire for "spectacularity" that characterizes the baroque courts, not only in relation to the scenic game, but also in a broader sense, in which the ideas of "artifice" and "wonder" meet the needs of occasional dynastic magnificence.
