The Fondazione Corrente Museo Treccani was founded in 1978 in the Studio Museo Treccani. The Foundation documents the entire figurative path of the artist Ernesto Treccani. The collection of paintings, graphics and sculpture traces the years from the debut to the years of realism and recent developments. A total of 248 works are preserved, divided between paintings, drawings, engravings, fire enamels, sculptures and ceramics. The Foundation takes its name from the magazine "Corrente" that the artist founded at the age of 18, which was suppressed in June 1940 when the war broke out. Among the most famous works of the artist we remember "Bottega di Corrente", "Galleria della Spiga" and "Corrente". Furthermore, Treccani was very close friends with painters such as Guttuso, Migneco, Cassinari and Morlotti. Today the Foundation pays homage to the memory of the artist who passed away on November 27, 2009, in his beloved Casa delle Rondini.
