For Vittorio Mazzucconi, painting is an "inner journey" that goes from eros to transcendence, with images that present themselves with astonishing truth. His path passes through the women he loved and who, in the exhibition, take the names of mythological figures, suggesting the deepest presence of the fundamental archetypes of life.

With eyes fixed on this "super-reality" the events of contemporary art only appear

superficial, ideological and commercial inventions of the "exterior" path, so far from that

interior of true art.

It is the richest and most complex period of love, which has experienced the whole range, from deep involvement of the soul to painful detachment, from the sexual to the spiritual sphere.

The "Anima" paintings, between darkness and light, are an expression of this journey. "Enigma", which shows the complexity of the feminine, "Concepimento", with the mystery associated with it, "Interior Aurora", with the constant gaze on oneself, "Split", between the masculine and the feminine as, on a another plane, between spirit and matter.
