Painting is, for Vittorio Mazzucconi , an "interior journey" that goes from eros to transcendence, with images that present themselves with astonishing truth. His path passes through the women he loved and who, in the exhibition, take the names of mythological figures, overshadowing the deepest presence of the fundamental archetypes of life. With our eyes fixed on this "super-reality", the events of contemporary art are often only the superficial, ideological and commercial inventions of the "external" path, so far from the internal one of true art.

Vittorio Mazzucconi 's painting had actually begun with his adolescent studies that directed him to art, and then moved towards architecture, to which he dedicated himself exclusively, starting to paint again only in 1977.

His first paintings evoke cosmic scenarios, in which, however, he soon puts the architecture in order, with instinctive proportion, geometry and sometimes a profound meaning. " The Spiritual Work " in fact states from the very beginning the immense reality of the spirit that transforms matter, the awareness of which will animate all of Mazzucconi's work. (The icon of the Foundation will also be born) Then soon deeper impulses appear, first with the death of the mother and then with the emergence of eros.
