From 24 June to 17 July 2022
The Museo della Permanente presents “Trivium. Stories of sense ” , the exhibition dedicated to the members of the outgoing Artistic Commission: Simonetta Chierici, Sara Montani, Vincenzo Pellitta.
The exhibition collects the most significant works of the three artists, in a path that leads the viewer to know their respective stylistic figures. The etymology of the word Trivium in fact recalls the meeting of three ways. Three separate roads that converge in a single point, such as the paths of Chierici, Montani and Pellitta, who, starting from different artistic experiences, meet and confront each other in this exhibition.
Trivium represents the point of convergence of three Stories of meaning told through the languages of each author: three personal ones that intertwine and unite in a single exhibition proposal. For each artist, one or more thematic nuclei have been selected, focusing attention on the latest works, which testify to the results of the most recent research.
At the same time, earlier works are also exhibited (from the late 1990s to the early 2000s), which allow us to outline a broader overview of the content and stylistic evolution of the last two decades.
Mastering the liberal arts of the Trivium meant knowing how to express oneself in a dialectical way and knowing how to "talk about the world": this is what Simonetta Chierici's modern icons, Sara Montani's traces of the invisible and Structures do through their visual languages. minimalist and perfect compositional rigor by Vincenzo Pellitta.
