On Wednesday, July 2nd, Palazzo Reale in Milan presents Remo Salvadori, the most extensive solo exhibition dedicated to one of the most significant artists of the Italian contemporary scene. The exhibition is curated by Elena Tettamanti and Antonella Soldaini. The show, promoted by the Municipality of Milan - Culture, is produced by Palazzo Reale Eight Art Project in collaboration with the Museo del Novecento. The project is structured as a widespread exhibition path, designed to guide the public through the poetic world of Remo Salvadori (Cerreto Guidi, Florence, 1947) and unfolds as a story in multiple chapters that traverse time and space, involving three venues of great historical and symbolic value: Palazzo Reale, Museo del Novecento, and Chiesa di San Gottardo in Corte (part of the visit route of the Milan Cathedral Museum). Starting from Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, in anticipation of the exhibition, in the Sala del Piccolo Lucernario of Palazzo Reale, the works "The observer moves observing himself", 1982, and "Figure", 2025, are presented. In the Sala delle Cariatidi, the site-specific work "No' si volta chi a stella è fisso", 2004 (2025), and the work "Continuo Infinito Presente", 1985 (2007), are installed. On the same date, the works will be accompanied by a performance by the multidisciplinary group "Tutto Questo Sentire" together with London musicians. Also on July 2nd, on the occasion of the exhibition, the Museo del Novecento presents the site-specific work "Alveare", 1996 (2025), displayed near the access ramp, which will become part of the museum's permanent collection. Furthermore, the artist will visually connect the two museum venues of Palazzo Reale and the Museo del Novecento through a site-specific intervention on the skylight above the entrance to the Sala delle Cariatidi. On Tuesday, July 8th, in the morning, in the courtyard of Palazzo Reale, the artist will create in real time the work "Continuo Infinito Presente", which once completed, will be transferred to one of the indoor spaces of the Palace, becoming an integral part of the exhibition experience. Starting from Tuesday, July 16th, the exhibition "Remo Salvadori" will open to the public on the first floor of Palazzo Reale and will remain open for visits until September 14th. The exhibition, with free admission, alternates thematic sections and in-depth analyses of individual works, emphasizing their aesthetic, emotional, and energetic power. A further chapter opens with the artist's intervention at the Chiesa di San Gottardo in Corte, part of the visit route of the Milan Cathedral Museum: from July 19th to August 31st, 2025, the work "10 frecce nei colori di minerali", 1969-1970, resonates in dialogue with the sacred architecture, offering a contemplative experience outside the museum space, thanks to the hospitality of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano.
