From 12 July to 19 July 2018
The exhibition will focus on contemporary Korean traditional style folk painting but still performed following the principles and dictates of the seventeenth century. Minhwa art from the beginning represents in painting, on paper or on canvas, animals and figures of popular mythology, scenes of everyday life and objects as symbols of happiness and well-being. Its artists often moved between the cities of worship for local events where they stopped to perform works to order commissioned by nobles or ordinary people.
