The Mazzucconi Foundation continues to communicate the works of Vittorio Mazzucconi, with the presentation of his books.
After having explored his painting and before dealing with his architecture, we see that these books are consistent with the same interior journey that leads the author to oppose the predominance of materialist reason of our time to reaffirm the values of the spirit.
The books are presented in the following exhibitions, with the related illustrative material, readings and debates by appointment.
1967 1 The City in the image and likeness of man
1985 2 The nascent city
1989 3 The idea of the city
2003 4 The Palatine Pyramid
2007 5 The Ark of Man
2001-23 6 Thoughts
2009-12 7 The Convivium
2013-20 8 Getting your bearings
In the catalog of the anthology "L'Idea della Città!", Florence 1989, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, many projects by Vittorio Mazzucconi are published, accompanied by his texts. Among these, building 22, Avenue Matignon in Paris shows the crucial relationship between the past and the future that had already inspired the "Nascent City" project. The numerous projects of the Arks show this even more, starting from that of the Halles, with a constant vision that seems like a premonition.
It can also be seen in the "Aix-Etoile" project for a satellite city of Paris, whose center is designed reminiscent of many Roman cities whose remains are the basis of the historic centers of today's cities. In the new project, for topographical reasons, the orientation is not the classic one, but the right direction is recovered with a diagonal axis along which there is, on one side, the Church, similar to a sail without the company's boat which should guide while, on the opposite side, the "Community House" is similar to a boat without a sail, that is, without a spiritual push. A way of showing how the cultural-religious influence no longer guides society as in the past, while it relies on the forces of the time that are preparing a new flood.
