From 9 November to 10 April 2023
These works are inspired by the wires of the concrete walls of Kris Ruhs' new studio under construction in Bovisa, Milan. As chaos seems to take over, the artist responds to the daily challenges he faces by creating a world of flowers . Construction waste is processed and shaped. The threads are worked and wound together, and finally joined to painted, polished and crumpled paper.
The delicate floral compositions are accompanied here by paintings that refer to the harmony of nature. The "Little Flower Room" is a peaceful garden of beauty, a floral space in which to take a break for reflection. The calming presence of flowers serves as a serene antidote to the visual aggression of the contemporary. A small room of flowery talismans brings the essence of peace, a flower, into our future.
