From 26 September to 8 November 2025
The ICA Milano Foundation, directed by Alberto Salvadori, presents to the public three new exhibition projects dedicated to artists Oliver Osborne, Lewis Hammond, and Isabella Costabile. Through personal research and sensitivity, each artist addresses their own relationship with art, personal dimension, and historical and social context. Through painting and sculpture, the works of Osborne, Hammond, and Costabile animate the spaces of the foundation, addressing themes such as the malleability of painting over time, the concept of faith in society, and the role of objects as devices of memory.
The project room of the ICA Milano Foundation welcomes a new series of sculptures created by Isabella Costabile (USA, 1991) between 2024 and 2025. Reflecting on the role of the artist in the present and the relationship of the work with reality, with Whose is this? Costabile shapes a group of works born from the assembly of objects found in the family garage, on sidewalks, or next to street dumpsters. The sculptures take on the appearance of disturbing hybrids, potentially subject to continuous mutations, where the function of the objects undergoes a process of recontextualization and reinterpretation: the elements become evidence of a memory archaeology, devices capable of visually narrating the passage of time. Moving between the personal sphere and the collective realm, the work breaks free from the logic of ownership and opens up to a relational dimension, where the observer is called to recognize something of themselves in what does not belong to them, but is part of their own experience.
