From October 23, 2025 to January 25, 2026, the Fabbrica del Vapore, one of the most dynamic and innovative contemporary exhibition spaces in Milan, hosts Artificial Beauty, the first major institutional exhibition of Andrea Crespi in the Lombard capital curated by Alisia Viola and Sandie Zanini. After his exhibitions at the Triennale di Milano, the CAFA Art Museum in Beijing, the MAGA in Gallarate, Times Square in New York, and Art Dubai, Milan welcomes an artist who is redefining the relationship between art, technology, and society with hybrid languages and layered visions. Classic Venuses vs synthetic bodies, human vs artificial, past vs future, emotional vs computational: between iconic works and site-specific pieces, the use of different media and technologies, Artificial Beauty is a deep and transversal investigation that traverses contemporary visual languages and returns a new, sensitive body in constant oscillation between memory and future. The starting point is the concept of beauty, observed today in its most radical transformation: no longer harmony of forms, but a territory of experimentation and a continuous field of tension between physical and digital, human and machine, emotion and algorithm. Between painting, sculpture, installations, and digital works, Artificial Beauty thus invites the public to participate and become an active part of the artistic process, in a narrative where each work - in dialogue with the spaces of Fabbrica del Vapore - is also a relational device. No longer just a work to contemplate, but a tool to redefine what we mean today by beauty, identity, and evolution. The exhibition path opens with "The Artist," a symbolic and highly evocative work that introduces the central themes of the entire exhibition project. The deliberately ambiguous title triggers a semantic and conceptual short circuit that accompanies the visitor throughout the entire exhibition: who is the artist today? The exhibition continues with a series of unpublished, immersive, and interactive installations, alongside emblematic works such as "Ex Human," a cycle of portraits generated by the hybridization between artificial intelligence and human iconographic codes.
