The third stage of the traveling exhibition “ Progetto Genesi. Art and Human Rights ” , part of the articulated and cross-disciplinary project of the same name, with an integrated, horizontal and inclusive approach in which exhibition and educational activities are combined with the aim of providing permanent education on the subject of human rights.

Associazione Genesi, in collaboration with FAI - FUND FOR THE ITALIAN ENVIRONMENT, presents the third stage of “Progetto Genesi. Art and Human Rights ", a traveling exhibition curated by Ilaria Bernardi , inaugurated on 21 September 2021 in Varese and on 18 December 2021 in Assisi, which from 8 March to 27 May 2022 arrives in Matera at the National Museum of Matera - Palazzo Lanfranchi and Casa Noha, a property of the FAI. The exhibition is part of the great artistic-cultural initiative “ Progetto Genesi. Art and Human Rights "dedicated to the theme of human rights, with a strong participatory inspiration, which will develop over the course of an entire year from 21 September 2021 to 21 September 2022.

The traveling exhibition presents the works of the new contemporary art collection Collezione Genesi , created by the will of Letizia Moratti and developed thanks to Clarice Pecori Giraldi who oversaw the acquisitions, with the aim of giving life and voice to a very representative selection of works and artists capable of speaking to the public on the most urgent issues in terms of human rights.

The idea from which the conception of Progetto Genesi originates, of which the exhibition is part, is that contemporary art can assume the role of ambassador of human rights. Progetto Genesi, born interdisciplinary and multimedia, due to its radical commitment, vastness of horizons and breadth of the range of initiatives that compose it, is destined to represent a real unicum in the contemporary art system, not only in Italy.
