The show

On 25 July, at 18, at the MUSMA - Museum of Contemporary Sculpture Matera - in via San Giacomo (Sasso Caveoso), the exhibition of Unique forms of continuity in space (1913) by Umberto Boccioni (Reggio Calabria 1882 - Verona) will be inaugurated 1916), iconic sculpture of Italian Futurism, a movement for which it serves as a symbol and manifesto. The work is welcomed to MUSMA within the "Work of honor" program, the cycle of exceptional and emblematic sculptures in the history of international sculpture, hosted for more or less short periods within the museum halls. The sculpture comes from the collection of Roberto Bilotti Ruggi d'Aragona in Rome and its exhibition in Matera from 25 July to 29 October is promoted by the Zétema Foundation of Matera. Copies of the same sculpture are present at the MOMA in New York, at the Tate Modern in London, at the Museo del Novecento in Milan.

The vernissage will be attended by Raffaello De Ruggieri, president of the Zètema Foundation, Antonio Calbi, scientific director of the Zètema Foundation and future director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris, and Professor Claudio Strinati, an art historian.
