The Musée Regards de Provence is a Marseille museum of modern and contemporary art. The Musée Regards was created in 2013 by the Regards de Provence Foundation, a private foundation founded in 1997 by Pierre and Michèle Dumon, collectors and patrons. The Musée Regards is located in the old sanitary station of the port of Marseille, which was renovated and modernized on the occasion of the creation of the museum. The collection is made up of more than 1000 works from the Renaissance, modern and contemporary periods, brought together to enhance the artistic and cultural heritage of Marseille, Provence and the Mediterranean. The works in the collection are mainly by artists from the Provencal area, such as Ambrogiani, Audibert, Barry, Chabaud, Dyf, Friesz, Garibaldi, Guigou, Henry d'Arles, Lacroix de Marseille, Lhote, Manguin, Monticelli, Olive, Surian, Valtat, Verdilhan and several others. The museum is very active in the organization of events and exhibitions: not only are the exhibitions organized, but there are also many works that the museum lends all over the world every year.
