Corami di corte between the Gonzagas and Europe , the exhibition curated by Augusto Morari who rediscovers a form of wall decoration that was once very popular, but now lost: leather wallpapers. Even the Gonzagas, in the long period of their regency , have commissioned and purchased corami of all types and motifs from the most renowned leather processing centers - Naples, Rome, Bologna, Ferrara and above all Venice - to furnish their residences, primarily Palazzo Te, in an incessant search for refined, beautiful, wonderful.

Developed in seven sections, the exhibition traces the fortune and fascinating history of corami and their diffusion from the second half of the fifteenth century to the mid-seventeenth century, thanks to generous loans from numerous museum institutions including Palazzo Madama in Turin, the Correr museums in Venice, Stibbert and Mozzi Bardini in Florence, and by the Museumslandschaft Hessen in Kassel. In addition, a real workshop of the "auripellario" master is set up inside the spaces of Palazzo Te, through which one can become more familiar with the materials and the techniques for making these particular wall furnishings.
