Located between Lavapiés and Puerta del Sol, the Museum of Illusions Madrid is an interactive and fun experience suitable for all ages. This original museum offers a surprising journey through thematic rooms where nothing is as it seems: from the famous Ames Room, to the tilted rooms, from the Infinity Room, to the anti-gravity room, to the suggestive Vortex Tunnel. A true journey through perception, science, and creativity.
New for 2023, the museum has introduced sensory environments such as the Symmetry Room, where only half of the space is real, the room Open your mind, which exploits typographic effects, and the surprising Moiré effect. In addition, the Room of Intelligent Games stimulates the brain with visual puzzles and cognitive exercises.
The visit is self-guided, lasts about an hour, and allows visitors to take photos directly inside the installations. Tickets start at €14 for adults, with reduced rates for children, students, teachers, and families. The museum is open every day, with hours from 11:00 to 21:00 (extended during weekends and holidays).
An ideal stop for families, photography lovers, and those looking for an original day in Madrid: fun, educational, and perfect for capturing memorable photos.
