Female nudes , investigations into nature, portraits that show an unprecedented use of light, great journeys to remote places, devastated by war or enhanced by indigenous culture: these are the main themes that from 7 September 2019 will animate the Lu.CCA - Lucca Center of Contemporary Art, with the exhibition dedicated to Werner Bischof, one of the greatest photojournalists of the twentieth century.
One hundred and five shots , with images ranging from 1934 to 1954 , divided into 8 sections : these are the numbers of “Werner Bischof. Classics ", exhibition dedicated to the great Swiss photojournalist (1916-1954) that the Lu.CCA - Lucca Center of Contemporary Art proposes from 7 September 2019 to 7 January 2020. Curated by Maurizio Vanni, museologist and art historian, and Alessandro Luigi Perna, specialist and curator of photographic exhibitions, the exhibition is organized by Lu.CCA and Omina in collaboration with Werner Bischof Estate and Magnum Photos, in partnership with Photolux Festival.
