Over seventy years after the traveling exhibition "Italy at Work" in the United States, the exhibition curated by Paola Cordera and Davide Turrini documents the evolution of Italian artistic, artisanal, and industrial production in the years immediately following the Second World War, highlighting the importance of the relationship with the United States in promoting the development and promotion of designed and made in Italy.
From Venini glass to the ceramics of Gio Ponti and Lucio Fontana, passing through Salvatore Ferragamo's footwear, the exhibition tells, with a strong interdisciplinary approach, a period of great creative ferment and international revival through paintings, sculptures, and graphics, objects of applied art and design, fashion accessories, installation designs, products, and documentation.
