From 5 December to 5 March 2022
From 5 December to 5 March Lecco will be the scene of the exhibition-event "Masterpiece for Lecco" entitled "Saved Stories".
The third edition - entitled “Saved Stories” - will open on December 5th and continue until March 5th. This year on display, on the first floor of Palazzo delle Paure, three sixteenth-century Nativities to be rediscovered.
The three works on display will be: the Nativity of Andrea Previtali kept at the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Nascente in Arconate, the Adoration of the shepherds by a Venetian painter (perhaps Jacopo Bassano) and the Adoration of the shepherds by Giovanni Battista Moroni, both from private collections. Two curators for this edition: Giovanni Valagussa, who also dealt with the previous exhibitions, and Antonio Mazzotta.
The initiative, promoted by the Pastoral Community and the Madonna del Rosario Cultural Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Lecco, intends to propose an exhibition of great spiritual, artistic and cultural value placed in a "secular" context with the aim of promoting , through art, the encounter with the Mystery of Salvation.
The dissemination of the contents of the work, crossing the simple proposal of "educational offer", is entrusted exclusively to the guided tour by the students of the local high schools, prepared through a special training course. This year there will be over 180 students from 9 schools in Lecco and its province.
