Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi, from 28 April to 16 July 2023, hosts exclusively the first solo exhibition of the artist Bogdan Koshevoy with the exhibition "Secret meeting". A rich exhibition itinerary in the Museum Halls of Palazzo Bisaccioni which will have his pictorial works as the absolute protagonists.

The exhibition, promoted by the Cassa di Risparmio di Jesi Foundation, was born on the occasion of the 1st Edition of the "Utopias of Beauty" Award, in memory of Giuliano De Minicis, created to stimulate reflection on art and enhance the talent of young people.

The first edition of the award was dedicated to painting and saw the participation of numerous young artists from all over Italy and beyond.

The jury, composed of the president Luca Bertolo – artist and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Paola Capata – founder and director of the Monitor contemporary art gallery, Luca Cesari – director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, Rossella Ghezzi – director of the Macerata Academy of Fine Arts, and Massimiliano Tonelli – director of Artribune, judged Bogdan Koshevoy as the winning artist, with his work “Zvëzdnyj”.

Bogdan Koshevoy's art takes us into intimate memories of a personal imagery. His paintings seem to oscillate between distant eras. Apparently apocalyptic prehistoric spaces are juxtaposed with distant historical references. Recurring in his works are a series of melancholy architectures that silently dominate the background. The latter, which actually existed and were erected in different eras, are today abandoned buildings and in a full state of decay.

It is through painting that these complexes are brought back to their original splendor by the artist, to then be decontextualized and inserted into landscapes of uncontaminated and wild nature.

The result is a parallel world in which different memories are added: an exercise in stratification and recomposition of the history of his country and his personal past.

In this timeless scenario, the subjects he inserts are important. Dinosaurs, contemporary objects, punk characters who carry out improbable activities seem trapped in these canvases that hover between the dreamlike and natural worlds.
