Listening to music and tales in the dim light, amidst baroque sculptures, plunged into the comfort of a hammock. It is the experience that the theater company Muta Imago is ready to bring to those who participate in the "Disappearances" project, scheduled for Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 December in the Chiesa dei Bigi, at the Le Clarisse cultural center, organized by the museum center in collaboration with the Mutamenti Academy. “Sparizioni” is by and with Riccardo Fazi and Claudia Sorace, with the musical advice of Chiara Colli and the production of the Teatro di Roma. «This - the organizers explain - is a radio project that Muta Imago developed in 2020 during the first months of lockdown. A real and imagined journey at the same time, which through archival materials, field recordings, interviews and songs, investigates the concepts of disappearance, retreat of the ego and escape. Sparizioni takes the form of a series of letters, sent to friends from remote places where Riccardo Fazi and Claudia Sorace have decided to disappear: the Sonoran desert, Malibu, the Pacific Ocean at a depth of 3000 meters, the Moon. Until the farthest journey, the one to your home. On this occasion “Sparizioni” becomes a sound installation where the dimension investigated by the text is made to experience directly by the spectators, who for 45 minutes will listen to the work suspended on comfortable hammocks inside the splendid spaces of the Chiesa dei Bigi ».
