The show

Enrica Borghi's new solo exhibition opens in the spaces of the Royal Castle of Govone, a Savoy residence in the province of Cuneo. Lost and Found is curated by Marco Tagliafierro and is organized by Govone Residenza Sabauda - Govone Arte, Creatività Roero and Asilo Bianco, with the patronage of the Municipality of Govone and the support of Cavalieri di San Michele del Roero, Heart Pulsazioni Culturali, Centro Culturale Govone and the Castle.

The idea of setting contemporary works of art in highly distinctive historical places continues after the same exhibition was hosted at Villa Borromeo d'Adda in Arcore in recent months. The exhibition intertwines three fundamental motifs that have always been very present in Enrica Borghi's research: the relationship with the surrounding environment and its history, past and present, the environmental theme and the "female question". Where we would expect precious materials, we find waste objects, packaging, recycled items torn from the bins of separate plastic collection. With surprising elegance, casings and materials that we would throw away revive the history of a place and bring it back to the here and now of the stringent contemporary reflection on the theme of "waste".
