Thursday March 28, 5pm
The Ballata della Genesi concert (poem by Roberto Piumini and music by Andrea Basevi) will be held in the Royal Palace Ballroom, an initiative organized by the MiBAC Regional Secretariat for Liguria, organized as part of the "Aspettando la Festa della Musica" promoted by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. The protagonists are the Young Singers of the Vocal Academy of Genoa who, under the direction of Roberta Paraninfo and accompanied by the pianist Giovanni Magnozzi and the reciting voice of Patrizia Ercole, present in this Cantata some episodes of the book of Genesis in a new and original version, founded on the interaction between codes and different expressive levels. The power of images is combined with music and words, with the projection on a large screen of a sequence of works drawn from the history of art: frescoes, paintings, mosaics and printed engravings, made over the centuries by Italian artists and foreigners, become an integral part of the musical composition, divided into sections dedicated to Creation, Eden, Abel and Cain, Diluvio.
Participation in the concert is free
